Electric scooter manufacturer Ather Energy has decided to transfer the benefits of reduced tax to customers after the govt’s decision to slash GST rate from 12% to 5%. The move is expected to increase the demand of EVs and Ather aims to produce 25,000 vehicles from own manufacturing plants.
The company will minimize sticker prices of its scooters by Rs 8,000-Rs 10,000 and will compete with fossil fuel-run counterparts. (Source)
