Short story media platform Sutradhar has raised $500K in a seed round led by Venture Catalysts and LetsVenture. Existing investor Titan Capital along with angels like Sahil Barua, Shashvat Nakrani, Kush Agarwal also participated in the round.
The fundraise will enable the platform in operational growth and create high-quality content to distribute to Indians across the globe.
Founded in 2020 by Gaurav Tiwari and Satish Meena, Sutradhar is an illustrated short stories platform based on Indian history, particularly for smartphone users.
The Delhi-based company has created more than 1,000 videos in four languages Hindi, English, Marathi and Odia which is currently available through mobile app, having more than 250K downloads and 100K registered users.
