Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has dismissed reports of the alleged theft of data of 7.82 crore people.
The CIDR and servers are completely safe and fully secure and no illegal access was made to its CIDR and no data has been stolen from its servers, said UIDAI’s CEO in a tweet thread.
SIT also did not find any evidence of data theft from UIDAI servers, he added.
