Gurugram-based casual gaming studio Funstop Games has secured $1.5 million in its seed round led by InfoEdge Ventures.
The proceeds will be allocated towards expanding game development and investing in building ad tech capabilities to further strengthen its existing portfolio of games, Funstop said in a press release.
Co-founded in 2020 by Prashanth Vijay and Tamesh Sharma, Funstop Games is a mobile game developer and publisher with a keen focus on superlative game design and engaging game mechanics and aims to produce smashing hit games.
According to Funstop Games, it has charted its popular games in 15 countries, with more than 50 million downloads and generating over $4 million in revenues. The company has produced two hits in the form of “Airport Rush 3D” and “Perfect Time”.
The other major players in the casual gaming space are Mumbai-based Skillgames, Genieee, Teamsid Gaming Solutions Pvt. Ltd., Gamier, Zuraverse and others.
Last week, tech sports brand Game Theory raised $2 million in a pre-Series A funding round from a bunch of investors like Nitin Kamath’s Rainmatter.
