TrueFoundry raises $2.3 Mn in seed round

US and India-based machine learning startup TrueFoundry has raised $2.3 million in its seed round led by Sequoia India and Southeast Asia's Surge. AngelList cofounder Naval Ravikant and Eniac Ventures also participated in the round.

According to TrueFoundry, the proceeds will be used in hiring tech talent and also in product development.

TrueFoundry provides tools for startups and small businesses to deploy and monitor machine learning models at the speed of big tech companies like Alphabet and Meta. The startup claims that its product can be deployed in five minutes by machine learning developers of small businesses and startups, making them 10x faster.

Founded in 2021 by Abhishek Choudhary and Nikunj Bajaj, and Anuraag Gutgutia, TrueFoundry said that its tools are platform agnostics and can be easily integrated with servers like Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud, Tensorflow, and Kubernetes.

Abhishek led projects as a software engineer at Facebook while Anuraag was VP of Portfolio Management at WorldQuant. He is also an angel investor in over 22 startups. Nikunj has led machine learning teams at Facebook and Reflektion. Prior to TrueFoundry, the trio also co-founded EntHire, an AI based recruitment platform, which was acquired in 2021 by Info Edge.

Last month, Sequoia’s Surge selected 15 startups for its seventh cohort. TrueFoundry is a part of the latest program.
