Funding and acquisitions in Indian startups this week [22-27 Aug]

This week, 24 Indian startups raised funding, of which 21 received a total of about $142.2 million. Servify emerged as the top fundraisers.

This week, 24 Indian startups raised funding, of which 21 received a total of about $142.2 million. Servify and Mojocare were the top fundraisers which scooped up $65 million and $20.6 million respectively. Last week, 26 homegrown startups raised funding worth about $147.4 million

Meanwhile, the funding of three of the total funded startups remained undisclosed. 

Growth/late-stage deals 

This week, five growth stage startups raised their new round which includes personal device management startup Servify’s $65 million Series D round and recruitment startup Awign’s $15 million round.

Early-stage deals 

In the early-stage, 19 startups have raised funds which also include three undisclosed rounds. Healthtech startup Mojocare was on top of the list with a $20.6 million Series A round. The list also includes SaaS startup RevSure.AI and agritech startup Loopworm.

Undisclosed deals    

Webnyay, Cricinshots, and Ultraviolette did not disclose their financial details.   

City and segment-wise fundings   

This week, Bengaluru-based startups were on top in terms of the number of startup deals and the amount raised by them. According to Fintrackr’s data, 10 Bengaluru-based startups have raised funds this week amounting to $52 million or 20.78% of the total funding. During the week, Delhi-NCR-based startups raised $5.6 million across 4 deals.

Healthtech startups were the top segment in terms of the number of deals as startups in this space raised $27.2 million across 4 deals. D2C brands, fintech, foodtech, SaaS and logistics startups were next on the list. 

Mergers and acquisitions

Apart from the fundraisings, the week also saw one acquisition of Singapore-based Schola by BrightChamps.
