Conversational messaging platform Gupshup has acquired cloud communications firm Knowlarity Communications.
While the company did not disclose the deal size, as per Entrackr's sources, the deal size is estimated at around $100 million.
This is the second acquisition by Gupshup in the last four months following the acquisition of Dotgo, a rich communications services (RCS) platform.
Founded by Ambarish Gupta, Knowlarity provides cloud telephony, contact center automation, AI-powered voice assistants and speech analytics solutions.
The Gurugram-based startup works with over 6,000 customers in 65 countries, and the acquisition will help establish Gupshup as a strong player in the voice and and the acquisition will help establish Gupshup as a strong player in the voice and video communications segment.
Last year, Gupshup had joined the unicorn list by raising $100 million from Tiger Global at a valuation of $1.4 billion.
As per our data tracking platform Fintrackr, around 26 startups got acquired or consolidated with larger companies in January. E-commerce roll-up companies such as EvenFlow, Mensa Brands, GlobalBees and GOAT Brand Labs were the top acquirers in the month by adding 11 startups in their portfolio.
