Unified marketing cloud platform InMobi’s flagship product, Glance has crossed the mark of 100 million daily active users in a time span of 21 months.

Launched in 2018, Glance is a consumer content entity that uses its content to drive marketing by using AI to identify trending topics and give consumers a personalized interface to consume this content.

“Glance crossing 100 million active users in just 21 months appears to be the shortest duration for any popular internet service to gain their first 100 million daily active users”, said Naveen Tewari, founder and chief executive of InMobi Group in a TechCrunch report

The platform has to date, partnered with about 1000 media and agencies and smartphone makers such as Samsung, Mi, Xiaomi, and Gionee to pre-install Glance in their popular model.

Available across 19 categories, the content at Glance ranges in between 10 seconds and two minutes long and includes everything from news to short videos to single-player games.

Apart from India, it has a presence in Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, and Thailand as well and its total monthly active users in India plus the aforementioned markets stand around 130 million.

In India, Glance has over 80 million users and it is currently available in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.

Glance had already crossed the mark of more than 50 million daily active users in August last year and claimed that its users spend 22 minutes per day on the platform at that time. Now, the average time spent by the users on the platform has increased to 25 minutes per day.

Introducing short-form videos and games on Glance has helped us increase the engagement level. About 25% of our users actively play games on Glance,” added Tewari in the report.

In September 2019, InMobi had also secured $45 million for Glance from US-based venture capital firm Mithril Capital as a part of its ongoing Series D round.  Since then, the company launched multiple new products and features including GlanceTv, Gaming, and Shopping along with expanding into south-east Asia.

Glance, which is a no-ad platform is currently not monetizing its users. In November, InMobi had also acquired video platform Roposo to add more vernacular content on Glance. Entrackr had exclusively reported about their advanced talks of acquisition.
