Funding in Indian startups this week (28 Oct-02 Nov)

This week 11 Indian startups raised funding, of which 9 received a total sum of about $210 million. Among them, MX Player raised the highest funding of $111 million followed by ElasticRun, which raised $40 million.

Meanwhile, funding for 2 of the total funded startups remained undisclosed.

Below is the summary of deals closed this week:

MX Player: Chinese conglomerate Tencent has led a whopping $110.8 million financing round in Times Internet-owned video streaming platform MX Player.

Fisdom: PayU has announced its foray into the wealth management segment with $11 million funding round in Fisdom. Existing investors Saama Capital and Quona Capital also participated in the round.

Shuttl: Bus aggregator Shuttl has raised $18 million in a Series C funding round led by Toyota Group and Japan’s SMBC Trust Bank, at a valuation of $200 million.

Smartworks: Singapore-based Keppel, the property arm of business group Keppel Corporation, has invested $25 million in coworking space provider Smartworks.

Fasal: Saas-based agritech startup Fasal has raised $1.6 million in a seed funding round led by Omnivore and Wavemarket Partners.

Adda247: Info Edge has invested close to $1 million in test preparation platform for government and public-sector exams – Adda247.

Woovly: Experience discovery platform, Woovly ,has raised $2.5 million in a pre-Series A funding round.

Infurnia: Cloud-based interior design software startup Infurnia has secured $200K in a seed round of funding from a list of undisclosed angel investors, at a valuation of $5 million.

ElasticRun: Logistics and distribution firm ElasticRun has raised $40 million round led by Prosus Ventures.

Undisclosed deals this week

goStops and Stylework did not disclose their financial details on funding.
