SaaS-based inbox management solution provider Hiver has raised $4 million in its first round of equity financing led by Kalaari Capital and Kae Capital.
Following the investment, Rajesh Raju and Gaurav Chaturvedi--managing director at Kalaari Capital and venture partner at Kae Capital respectively, will join the Hiver's board.
Founded by Ranjan Rout and Nitesh Nandy, Hiver will use the fresh funds for product development and expanding its global customer base.
The startup helps to manage customer support and sales right from Gmail. With Hiver, teams can collaborate on shared email accounts like support, sales and admin without having to leave their Gmail accounts.
It also allows users to write notes on email conversations. Further, team members can provide ideas, suggestions, and additional details to help employees accomplish their tasks effectively and easily.

Developed by GrexIt Inc., the startup was publicly launched in 2012 and rechristened itself from GrexIt to Hiver in 2015. It had raised $130,000 in seed funding from the Citrix Startup Accelerator and Paytm founder Vijay Shekhar Sharma in 2012.
Hiver's monthly plans start at $14. For automation, Salesforce integration and other services, it charges an additional cost.
Other firms providing similar solutions are Freshworks, Intercom, Mavelink, Zoho, and Zendesk, to name a few.
