This week in Indian Startups funding news (19-24 March)

This week 15 startups received funding, of which 13 received a total sum of about $202 million. Among them, Global Sports Commerce raised the highest investment of $80 million, followed by PhonePe, which raised about $79 million.

Meanwhile, funding for two of the total funded startups remained undisclosed.

List of disclosed funding deals this week

PhonePe: Flipkart-owned UPI-enabled digital payments platform PhonePe received about $79 million (Rs 518 crore) from the parent company based out of Singapore.

HungerBox: Foodtech startup HungerBox raised $0.6 million (Rs 4 crore) in a fresh round from CRM Holdings, Pratithi Trust along with participation from existing investor Srihari Kumar.

GSC: Media entertainment investment platform Emerald Media invested $80 million in sports technology solutions company Global Sports Commerce (GSC).

Nuo Bank: Crypto banking platform Nuo Bank got seed funding of $0.25 million from PayU India CEO Amrish Rau and managing director Jitendra Gupta.

Doxper: Healthtech startup Doxper raised $1.1 million (Rs 7.2 crore) from its existing investors Vidal Health and others in a bridge round. The other investors participated in the round include GrowX Ventures, Capier Investments, and Globevestor, among others.

NowFloats: Hyderabad-based NowFloats, which helps local businesses go online, has raised $2.2 million (Rs 14.36) crore in bridge round from existing investors such as Omidyar Network, Iron Pillar Capital, and IIFL.

CarDekho: Online car search platform CarDekho has raised $2.5 million from an existing investor Sequoia Capital in an extended Series B round of funding

ChargeBee: Chennai-based subscription billing startup, ChargeBee has secured $18.5 million from Insight Venture Partners. The round also saw the participation of existing investors including Accel Partners and Tiger Global Management.

Zappfresh: Online raw meat seller Zappfresh has bagged $3 million from Amit Burman, Vice Chairman of Dabur India and SIDBI Venture Capital.

CustomerSuccessBox: A customer success platform for B2B SaaS companies has raised $1 million in a pre-Series A funding round led by pi Ventures. Besides, Axilor Ventures, accelerator, and other investors participated in the funding round.

Goodera: Corporate social responsibility (CSR) lifecycle management platform that connects companies with non-profit organisations (NPOs), Goodera has raised $12 million (Rs 79 crore) in its Series B round of financing.

Fingerlix: Mumbai-based ready-to-cook (RTC) food brand Fingerlix has raised $1.3 million (Rs 8.5 crore) from venture debt firm Alteria Capital.

Karma Healthcare: Technology-based healthcare solutions provider in rural areas, Karma Healthcare has raised $0.5 million ( about Rs 3 crore) in a fresh round of funding from equity crowdfunding platform 1Crowd.

Undisclosed deals this week:

Edtech startup Eupheus Learning, Micro-jobs providing startup GigIndia did not disclose their deal amount.
