This week in Indian Startups funding news (Sep 11-16)

This week 19 startups received funding, out of which 11 were disclosed, who in total made a sum of $242.01 million. Among them Janalakshmi Financial raised highest investment of $161 million, followed by Ecom Express, which raised about $30 million.

Meanwhile, eight out of the total funded startups remained undisclosed.

List of disclosed funding deals this week

Unacademy: Online learning platform Unacademy has raised $11.5 million in a Series B financing led by Sequoia Capital India and SAIF Partners. Existing investors Nexus Venture Partners, Blume Ventures and a few angels also participated in the round.

GlowRoad: Bengaluru-based GlowRoad, a women-centric C2C (customer-to-customer) reseller network, has raised $2 million in its Series-A funding round from Accel Partners.

OYO Rooms: Budget hotel platform OYO Rooms has secured $10 million strategic investment from multi-billion dollar hotel management firm China Lodging. According to media reports, China Lodging has picked-up less than 5 percent stake in the Gurugram-based company.

Get My Parking: Cloud-based startup Get My Parking, that uses Internet of Things (IoT) for its smart parking platform, has raised $3 million funding from BEENEXT, IAN Fund and Indian Angel Network.

Tonbo Imaging: A Palo Alto and Bengaluru-based defence technologies startup, has raised $17 million in series B financing led by WRV Capital, the largest private venture investment in the domestic defence technology space.

CallHealth Services: A Hyderabad-based healthcare service aggregator, has raised Rs 40 crore in a funding round led by former Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, along with other sports stars such as badminton player PV Sindhu, and former badminton player Pullela Gopichand.

Ecom Express: E-commerce-focused logistics solutions provider Ecom Express has raised Rs 192 crore from existing investor Warburg Pincus, an affiliate of global private equity firm.

Wheelstreet: Bengaluru-based Online motorbike rental aggregator Wheelstreet, which was a part of the Y Combinator Summer 2017 cohort, is reported to have raised $120K from the US-based seed accelerator.

3Hcare.in: A health tech company has raised $0.1 million in angel round

Freight Tiger:A building technology tool platform, which enables stakeholder to make transaction easier and simpler has raised $1.09 million.

Janalakshmi Financial has raised an investment of $161 million.

Undisclosed deals this week:

Finova Capital, A non-banking financial company, Sattviko, a Delhi-based a healthy food dining chain, WittyFeed, a viral content marketing platform, Edtech XPrep, Delhi-based co-working startup Creator’s Gurukul, Agritech Ergos, TBS Planet Comics and chatbot AskArvi.com did not disclose their funding amount
