Healthy food dining chain Sattviko raises funds in Pre-Series A round

Delhi-based Sattviko, a healthy food dining chain has raised an undisclosed amount of investment from a clutch of investors led by Raman Roy.

Delhi-based Sattviko, a healthy food dining chain has raised an undisclosed amount of investment from a clutch of investors led by Raman Roy, chairman of Nasscom in its Pre-Series A round.

Angels who participated in this round include Arvind Uppal, Chairman, Whirlpool; Sonu Bhasin, Founder FAB; G Karthik, Partner, Global Holdings; Raman Roy, Chairman NASSCOM; G Ravishankar, Former CEO, Jet Airways and many more.

Sattviko, which is operated by Rays Culinary Delights and was founded in 2013 by IIT Roorkee graduates Prasoon Gupta, Ankush Sharma and Rahul Gupta, runs quick-service restaurants and plans to launch its first fine-dining restaurant in Jaipur.

Sattviko has bee backed by some of the highly successful investors, including Chairman of NASSCOM Raman Roy; Vice Chairman of Neva Garments Rajat Jain; and former CEO of Jet Airways G Ravishankar.

"We aim to penetrate deeper into existing geographies and grow into newer cities in India," said Prasoon Gupta, Founder, Sattviko.

He added that to achieve this goal, the brand is already working on launching new product lines in different parts of the India. Sattviko has proven that snacks can be tasty enough to tempt the taste pallet without compromising any of the nutritious value.

In November 2015, it acquired Jaipur-based food delivery startup CallOnMeal followed by acquisition of Delhi-based FYNE Superfoods in August 2016.

Sattviko also acqui-hired Indori Chotore based out of Mumbai and Pune.

Earlier the foodtech startup had raised 2 Crore as seed funding, in a round led by online real estate portal CommonFloor co-founder Sumit Jain, Xerox India managing director Rajat Jain and Samsung executive Sanjay Bhasin in February 2015.

In November 2016, Sattviko raised an undisclosed amount of angel investment from a clutch of investors led by Raman Roy, founder of Quattro Global Services.
