Urban Harvest Acquires Gourmet Food

B2B fresh-produce and food supply startup Urban Harvest has acquired premium gourmet food brand Cocosutra in a Rs 2.5 crore all-cash transaction, as it looks to expand into value-added food categories and deepen its presence within the restaurant and HoReCa segment.

The acquisition adds gourmet, high-margin products to Urban Harvest’s portfolio and allows the company to use its existing restaurant demand base for faster scale. Urban Harvest said the integration is already underway, with full consolidation of systems, teams, and operations expected to be completed within the next two months.

Founded as a gourmet food brand, Cocosutra operates in the premium packaged food segment. Following the acquisition, Urban Harvest plans to scale Cocosutra by expanding distribution, improving price competitiveness through supply chain efficiencies, and tightening unit economics using its existing procurement and logistics network.

According to Urban Harvest, Cocosutra’s business has already seen a threefold increase since the acquisition process began, driven by access to a wider customer base and improved backend operations.

The company expects Cocosutra to grow into a Rs 100 crore revenue brand within the next 24 months, supported by Urban Harvest’s restaurant relationships and B2B distribution infrastructure.

Urban Harvest operates as a B2B supplier of fresh produce and food products to restaurants, cloud kitchens, and foodservice businesses. The company did not disclose any changes to Cocosutra’s brand positioning and said the brand will continue to operate under its existing identity while being fully integrated into Urban Harvest’s platform.
