In the crowded sports media landscape dominated by legacy players and aggregators, Gurugram-based Sportsdunia is positioning itself as a stats-driven, AI-first sports content platform. Founded in 2023, the startup blends real-time updates, data-backed analysis, and fan-focused tools to deliver what it calls a richer, more interactive sports experience.
“Our mission is to build a one-stop destination for sports fans worldwide, combining the thrill of live scores with the depth of AI-powered insights,” said Harsimran Singh Gill, Product Head at Sportsdunia. The platform serves the fastest live football and cricket scores, along with commentary and in-depth stats of players and teams, creating a rich and engaging user experience.
“While football remains the anchor, we have expanded into cricket, gaming, and esports. Our product roadmap includes AI-driven prediction tools and mobile apps for iOS and Android with multilingual support and an ‘Ask Me Anything’ engine that uses our data depth to instantly answer user queries,” said Abhinav Agarwal, Co-Founder of Sportsdunia.
The company is also eyeing social-led distribution via WhatsApp and Telegram, with plans to monetize these channels through targeted content and engagement. In parallel, Sportsdunia is doubling down on its gaming-first positioning, building a platform “for gamers, by gamers” with guides, reviews, patch updates, and esports coverage.
Backed by $1 million in pre-seed funding from Sanjay Meena and other angels, Sportsdunia is focused on delivering the fastest live scores experience. The company is continuously optimizing its architecture and improving latency to ensure fans receive real-time updates with unmatched speed, while also integrating AI to provide deeper insights and engagement.
With established giants like Sofascore, ESPN and Flashscore already commanding massive reach, Sportsdunia’s challenge will be to carve a niche around its “data-first, AI-driven” positioning. The platform could emerge as a go-to destination for fantasy gamers and die-hard fans seeking more than just match reports.
