Sports technology startup SportsSkill has secured an undisclosed amount of investment in a pre-seed funding round led by  Waimea Bay Investments.

The fresh funds  will be utilized for  its expansion into international markets by the second half of the year and  bring a unique offering to athletes worldwide, SportsSkill said in a press release.

SportsSkill unveils its latest innovation—a state-of-the-art, high-performance gamified training center, the first of its kind. This  facility  blends  training with gamification, offering athletes an immersive experience that enhances fitness, hones technique, and builds competitive spirit—all in a fun, engaging environment.

The Pune based company says that its  advanced AI-powered sports training app will provide athletes with data-driven insights and personalized coaching for high-performance training. The startup is committed to making top-tier training accessible to athletes at all levels, transcending its current base in India. The platform is  designed to push limits while maintaining peak efficiency and measurable outcomes, the center marks a significant step in delivering real-world, hands-on training to complement the company’s robust digital ecosystem.

Alongside these physical expansions, SportsSkill is increasing its collaborations with schools across India. The company  aims to integrate its technology into schools, helping young athletes access advanced training tools from an early age. By bringing AI-driven sports training solutions into educational institutions, it hopes to shape the future of sports in India by empowering the next generation of athletes.

SportsSkill plans to add more sports to its app, thereby broadening its appeal to a wider range of athletes. It will also shift to a B2B2C model in the second half of 2025 to enable closer collaborations with sports organisations, educational institutions, and businesses, paving the way for tailored training solutions and potential synergies.
