Direct-to-customer (D2C) e-commerce solutions provider ShopDeck has raised $8 million in a funding round led by Bessemer Venture Partners. Elevation Capital, Venture Highway (acquired by General Catalyst), and Chiratae Ventures also participated in the round.

Entrackr exclusively reported about the deal in August.

The proceeds will be used to enhance its Al-powered technology stack, expand on-ground operations to support sellers across tier-II and III cities, and add talent.

Founded by Rishabh Verma and Harmin Shah, ShopDeck helps sellers to create their e-commerce store or website, manage logistics, payment and others for a business to sell products online.

Started as a social commerce platform, WMall pivoted in 2022 to become an e-commerce enablement platform called NuShop and later evolved into ShopDeck. WMall was originally backed by Elevation Capital, Venture Highway, and Chiratae Ventures.

ShopDeck will compete with Shopify, Magento and WooCommerce in e-commerce enablement space while Shiprocket and Unicommerce-owned Shipway are its competitors in shipping and marketing segments.
