Recove, a B2B startup digitising and modernising plastics recycling supply chain, has raised Rs 5.3 crore in its pre-seed round led by Momentum Capital.
The round also saw participation from industry veterans and angels including Ganesh Natarajan (ex-CEO, Aptech & Zensar), Ashish Goel (Co-founder, Urban Ladder), Chaitanya Kejriwal, and Shruti Deorah.
The proceeds will be used to scale Recove’s marketplace across India, set up pre-processing hubs, and expand its network of recycling partners.
Founded in 2024 by Viral Chhajer, Nirja Bhatt, and Sharan Subaiah, Recove is building a tech-enabled B2B marketplace for plastic recyclables. The platform connects suppliers of plastic waste with recyclers, backed by technology-driven supply chains and in-house pre-processing infrastructure to ensure quality and consistency.
By combining digital procurement with physical pre-processing infrastructure, Recove provides recyclers with dependable raw materials while ensuring waste generators benefit from better realisations.
In just a year, the startup claims to have streamlined procurement for over 30 recycling companies nationwide.
