E-commerce service startup Point AI (formerly Try ND Buy) has raised $5.3 million in a funding round led by Yali Capital.

According to an ET report, the funds will be used to enhance Point AI’s product offerings, expand customer acquisition, and support engineering and core operations.

Point AI provides artificial-intelligence services to e-commerce companies, helping optimise conversion, reduce returns, and personalise shopping experiences. The platform integrates commerce-data, consumer behaviour signals, and supply-chain inputs into its AI models.

The firm aims to work with online retailers, marketplaces, and brand-direct commerce firms.

Point AI competes with other AI and analytics firms in e-commerce such as Criteo, Algonomy, and Fractal Analytics, offering a niche by specialising in commerce return-optimisation and pricing.

The startup's immediate goal is to secure partnerships with large merchants and marketplaces that face high-volume returns and complex product assortments.
