Horizontal e-commerce platform Meesho has launched a creator marketplace as part of its content commerce strategy, introducing three key pillars to deliver immersive and interactive shopping experiences at scale.
Meesho Creator Club is a dedicated in-house affiliate program that empowers influencers of all sizes, including those from tier 3 and tier 4 cities, by providing real-time performance analytics, faster payouts, and direct collaboration opportunities.
According to Meesho, its creator marketplace Video Finds features short, engaging product videos hosted directly on the Meesho app, enabling users to discover and shop seamlessly through immersive content. Products showcased in these videos are clickable, allowing users to shop instantly without leaving the content.
Live Shop is a real-time interactive session where sellers and influencers showcase products, answer queries, and drive instant sales.
Meesho aims to transform e-commerce by partnering with creators who authentically resonate with the diverse lifestyles of its 187 million annual transacting users. This approach not only enhances product discovery but also fosters trust and deeper consumer engagement.
In its first year, Meesho states that its content commerce initiative has reached over 14.5 million users, successfully bridging the gap between storytelling and shopping with a personalized experience designed for the Indian market.
Between January and December 2024, Meesho saw a 3X increase in order volume on the platform through content commerce. It has partnered with over 21,000 creators, driving engagement across India.
Meesho plans to expand the Creator Club by onboarding a diverse range of creators, ensuring the program appeals to both micro and nano-influencers, as well as larger content creators.
