Aerospace manufacturing startup Jeh Aerospace has raised $11 million in a funding round led by Elevation Capital along with participation from existing investors such as San Francisco-based General Catalyst.
Prior to this, it had raised $2.75 million in a seed funding round led by General Catalyst along with participation from angel investors like Pratyush Kumar and Dwarkanath Srinivas. Last month, it also received undisclosed funding from IndiGo Ventures.
The proceeds will be utilized to strengthen its operations and expand workforce, Jeh Aerospace said in a press release.
Co-founded in 2022 by Vishal Sanghavi and Venkatesh Mudragalla, Jeh Aerospace offers manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain management solutions to the global aerospace and defence industry. It specialises in aerostructure, aero-engine components and assemblies, meeting rigorous quality standards.
According to Jeh Aerospace, it uses software-defined manufacturing, which combines automation, artificial intelligence (AI), and advanced software to build flexible and reliable production systems that can produce high-quality aerospace parts at scale.
It works on a hybrid model where some of the parts are manufactured in-house.
“We will be investing significantly in our capabilities from this round across operations and technology and continue building strong teams in the US and India,” said Vishal Sanghavi, CEO of Jeh.
Jeh Aerospace aims to solve global supply chain constraints plaguing the industry. The company provides ready manufacturing solutions to the A&D industry through its scalable manufacturing facilities and vetted supplier networks that meet or exceed global quality standards.
