Fashion search engine platform Shoppin has raised $1 million in a funding round led by InfoEdge Ventures.

The proceeds will be used for hiring talent, advancing proprietary technology, and driving growth, Shoppin said in a press release.

Launched by Shlok Bhartiya, Shoppin allows users to discover apparel products through prompts, vibes, product descriptions, and images. It aims to bridge the gap between inspiration discovery on social platforms and e-commerce discovery on marketplaces and D2C brand websites.

The company plans to build a team of AI engineers to develop, fine-tune, and scale advanced AI models, including custom-built small language models (SLMs) tailored specifically for fashion.

Currently, Shoppin claims to have over 35,000 Instagram followers and more than 20,000 people on its waitlist, with plans to launch its beta search engine in February.

Last month, InfoEdge invested in ZingBus and Culture Circle.
