Infibeam Avenues has received final regulatory authorisation from the Reserve Bank of India to operate as an offline payment aggregator, enabling it to handle in-store card and QR-based transactions via POS devices.
The company already holds licences for online payment aggregation, prepaid payment instruments (PPI), and Bharat Bill Pay. The firm recenty obtained in-principle approval from RBI to issue PPIs.
With the new approval, Infibeam Avenues can now deploy and manage POS machines across merchant outlets under its CCAvenue brand.
Infibeam operates a diversified digital platform, primarily focusing on digital payment services and e-commerce solutions. For the financial year-ending 2025, Infibeam claims to have processed Rs 8.67 lakh crore in transactions across its payments and platform businesses, serving over 10 million merchants in India and international markets.
The approval follows other regulatory moves for the company, including its subsidiary receiving an in-principle PSP licence from the IFSCA at GIFT City.
As per TheKredible, Infibeam’s revenue from operations rose to Rs 1,965 crore in Q2 FY26 from Rs 1,017 crore in Q2 FY25. During the same period, its profit increased 45% to Rs 68 crore, up from Rs 47 crore in Q2 FY25.
