iGoWise Mobility(iGo), a smart electric trike developer, has raised Rs 8.2 crore in a pre-seed funding round from several ISB Angels, 888VC and Guptaji VC.

The fresh funds will be utilized for tooling and automation to cut production costs, expand customer experience and after-sales channels, drive further R&D and new variants, and strengthen working capital to fulfill the current order book, iGo said in a press release.

Founded in 2020 by Sravan K Appana,, iGowise Mobility builds rugged, intelligent EV platforms tailored to urban India and Rural Bharat. BeiGo, is the first electric pickup Trike in its product line aiming to bridge the gap between two-wheelers and oversized expensive vehicles, equipped with patented anti-topple leaning technology for enhanced ease of handling, cornering and ride comfort.

With over 1 lakh km of real-world customer usage data across diverse terrains and entrepreneurs. Over the next 12–18 months, the company plans to expand in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, and Panjim, deploying the first 1,500 trikes with fleet partners including Hala Mobility and Elektric Express.

According to the Bengaluru-based startup, its patented anti-topple swivelling mechanism and on-demand self-balancing system make its leaning trikes 5X more cost-effective, 3X more energy-efficient, and 2X more compact than the global peers. Built on the proprietary TwiiGo lightEV automobile platform, the trikes glide smoothly over the potholes, scale the toughest slopes with ease, zip through heavy traffic, and offer triple-disc anti-skid CBS for maximum rider safety & road grip.

iGo says that its first product in its line BeiGo Rugged Utility Vehicle is all set for market launch within a  time-span of 32 months.  Riders upgrading to an iGo trike, can not only save money on fuel, but actually boost their income potential by up to Rs 7,500 per month.
