HORIBA India has acquired a 100% stake in Pristine Deeptech, an R&D-driven startup focused on the use of lab-grown diamonds for semiconductor and quantum research. Following the acquisition, Pristine Deeptech has become a wholly owned subsidiary of HORIBA India.

According to HORIBA, the acquisition strengthens its expertise in diamond-based technologies and supports the creation of a dedicated R&D hub in India. It also enhances the company’s ability to deliver advanced analytical and measurement solutions for next-generation technologies.

HORIBA said the strategic move marks a significant step in strengthening its capabilities in advanced materials and semiconductors. The company added that it will sharpen its focus on innovation and expand its R&D presence in India, reinforcing its long-term commitment to the local market while contributing to technological progress and societal development.

Founded in Gujarat, Pristine Deeptech specialises in diamond research and vacuum technologies. By combining Pristine Deeptech’s domain expertise with HORIBA’s analytical and measurement technologies, the acquisition is expected to create strong synergies across the semiconductor value chain.

HORIBA India operates across three key business verticals, Energy and Environment, Bio and Healthcare, and Materials and Semiconductors. Globally, the HORIBA Group claims a market share of around 80% in emission measurement systems and approximately 60% in mass flow controllers, which are among its flagship product offerings.
