Good Monk, the flagship brand of Superfoods Valley, has raised $2 million in pre-Series A funding round led by RPSG Capital Ventures along with participation from existing investors Multiply Ventures, Sharrp Ventures & ThinKuvate.
The company had previously raised $841K from Multiply Ventures and others. The startup was recently part of Shark Tank Season 4 & earned a deal on the show from Vineeta Singh, co-founder Sugar Cosmetics
The proceeds will be utilized to invest in R&D and product development to present better nutritional alternatives, Good Monk said in a press release.
Co-founded in 2022 by Amarpreet Singh Anand and Sahiba Kaur, Good Monk offers a range of products, including multivitamin and probiotic mixes, fiber supplements, and over 50 nutrition mixes for seniors. The brand focuses on nutrition and health, operating in the ecommerce sector. The brand’s range offers clinically proven solutions for kids, adults & over 50 year old consumer groups.
According to the Bengaluru-based company, it aims to make nutrition accessible and easy, with a focus on nutritional transparency and community engagement, particularly supporting less privileged communities. It is also known for contributing a portion of their sales to mid-day meal programs.
Good Monk is currently retailing across its website, and leading e-commerce platforms like Amazon, Flipkart etc. The brand is expanding its presence across digital footprints and making the brand available to its consumers across all channels. The brand claims that it has been able to build a strong consumer base and grow 11X in the last 12 months.
RPSG Capital has invested in nutrition, health and wellness space and backed companies in this category such as Nutrabay, Plix and True Elements.
