Flipkart’s quick commerce arm, Flipkart Minutes, has begun showing a new savings feature called XtraSaver to a limited set of users, based on in-app observations and user-shared screenshots.
The feature provides additional discounts once a minimum cart value of Rs 699 is met. The offers are visible across select grocery and daily-essential categories and are applied at checkout.
XtraSaver is available to select users in Bengaluru and is not visible across all user accounts or devices. There is no information on whether or when the feature may be expanded to a wider user base.
Flipkart has not made any official announcement regarding the launch or testing of XtraSaver. Entrackr has reached out to the company for comments.
The feature is similar to saver-led offerings in the quick commerce segment, such as Super Saver by Zepto and MaxxSaver by Instamart. These programmes generally offer discounts tied to higher minimum order values or specific conditions.
Zepto, however, revised its Super Saver programme in July last year by restricting the use of standard ‘Zepto Now’ coupons and adding a fulfilment fee on Super Saver orders. The changes were intended to differentiate between its regular service and saver-led offering.
