Composite tech startup Fabheads has secured $10 million in its Series A round led by Accel, with Trifecta Capital also participating.

With this, the Chennai-based company has raised a total of $13 million, including $3 million from earlier seed and pre-seed rounds closed in 2021.

The new proceeds will be used to scale up its manufacturing operations, grow its leadership bench, and expand its engineering and R&D teams.

Fabheads also plans to set up a new facility in Bengaluru focused on serving the aerospace sector and meeting rising global demand. The unit is expected to be functional within six months.

Founded in 2015 by former ISRO engineers Dhinesh Kanagaraj and Abhijeet Rathore, Fabheads develops robotic automation systems for composite fiber manufacturing, replacing slow and expensive manual processes. Its proprietary tech enables up to 50% cost savings, 20% less waste, and faster production cycles.

As per market research, the sector is gaining momentum across aerospace, mobility, defense, and clean energy. India’s composites market stood at $1.8 billion in 2024 and is projected to touch $2.8 billion by 2030.
