Escape Plan, a new-age travel accessories brand, has raised $5 million in a funding round led by Jungle Ventures through its First Cheque@Jungle initiative, along with Fireside Ventures and several angel investors.
The funds will be used to expand retail presence, customer acquisition, and launching quick commerce services. Escape Plan is also investing in production and capacity planning as it partners with known brands to offer one- to two-hour deliveries in key cities.
Founded by Abhinav Pathak, former co-founder of Perpule (acquired by Amazon), and Abhinav Zutshi, Escape Plan focuses on travel essentials ranging from luggage and backpacks to passport covers and neck pillows, targeting both daily and vacation travelers.
The Bengaluru-based startup has already launched physical stores in six to seven cities and aims to scale that number to over 100 within the next 18–24 months.
The brand sells both in-house and partner-manufactured products through its own platform. It competes with other D2C players such as Mokobara, Nasher Miles, Uppercase, and Acefour Accessories in India’s fast-growing travel gear market.
