Cosmoserve Space, a Hyderabad-based space technology startup focused on sustainable space exploration, has raised $3.17 million in an oversubscribed pre-seed round led by Alan Rutledge with participation from AUM Ventures and Shakti VC.
A major highlight of this round is the participation of Ram Shriram, Google’s early investor and long-time board member.
The proceeds will be used to accelerate R&D, expand the engineering team, and initiate prototypes for its debris mitigation technology.
Founded by Dr. Chiranjeevi Phanindra, former ISRO scientist and Deputy Project Director of India’s Gaganyaan mission, Cosmoserve Space is developing autonomous robotic spacecraft to mitigate the rapidly growing problem of orbital debris. With satellites, space stations, and future missions under threat, the company aims to build a safer and more sustainable orbital ecosystem.
“We are on a mission to create a safer, sustainable future in space,” said Dr. Phanindra, Founder & CEO. “This funding gives us the runway to fast-track development and partner globally to solve the debris challenge at scale.”
The Hyderabad-based company combines advanced robotics with deep aerospace expertise to make space exploration safer and sustainable.
