Codeyoung, a learning platform for kids (K–12), has raised $5 million in a Series A funding round co-led by 12 Flags Group and Enzia Ventures. The round also marks exit for early investors.
The Bengaluru-based company had previously raised $1.86 million in a seed funding round from Guild Capital and others.
The fresh funds will be utilized to expand its presence in international markets, build AI-driven personalization tools, and introduce new learning categories, Codeyoung said in a press release.
Co-founded in 2020 by Shailendra Dhakad and Rupika Taneja, Codeyoung provides live 1:1 online classes for children aged 5–17 across Coding, Math, English, Science, Advanced Placement (AP) courses and SAT Preparation.
Beyond academic performance, Codeyoung aims to help children grow as confident, creative thinkers who apply learning to the real world. The platform transforms passive screen time into active skill time, nurturing curiosity, problem-solving, and self-belief.
“We’ve built a model where outcomes come first. Students learn at their own pace, while parents have full visibility into their child’s progress. Families everywhere want learning that feels personal, dependable, and measurable. This investment allows us to bring that experience to more children across the world,” said Shailendra Dhakad, Co-founder & CEO of Codeyoung.
The platform claims to have taught more than 20 lakh hours to over 25,000 students in 15 countries, achieving completion rates above 80 percent, renewals over 60 percent, and an NPS above 65.
