CarDekho Group backed fleet management company Carrum has raised an undisclosed amount in Series A funding round from Uber.

The fresh capital will be utilized to expand its fleet and scale business operations, Carrum said in a press release.

Launched in 2024 by  Karan Jain, Carrum is a fleet management services company providing B2B mobility solutions. The platform works towards decarbonization and sustainability in transportation. The company focuses on green fuel technologies such as compressed natural gas (CNG) and electric vehicles (EVs), aligning its operations with low-emission mobility practices.

The Gurugram-based startup leverages data and tech to optimize fleet operations, driver availability, and vehicle uptime. It also uses a data-backed platform to solve driver and fleet management issues, aiming to uplift livelihoods while building a strong, compliant presence in India's mobility sector.

Since its inception, Carrum has formed a strategic partnership with Uber and has deployed over 3,000 vehicles on its platform. The company claims that it has been profitable since inception and is currently operating at an Annualised Revenue Run Rate (ARR) of Rs 300 crore. It has also secured investment from CarDekho Group, supporting its business expansion.

Carrum currently operates with Uber in 5 cities such as Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune and Delhi. As part of this partnership, Carrum plans to expand its presence to cover all major urban centres. Till date, it has saved more than 6,000 tonnes of carbon emissions via its CNG-first fleet.
