BrowserStack has acquired Requestly, a tool for HTTP interception, API mocking, and debugging, for an undisclosed amount.
Founded by Sachin Jain, Requestly enables frontend developers to intercept, modify, and mock API requests directly in the browser, helping streamline testing workflows.
The tool is used by over 200,000 developers across more than 10,000 companies. Requestly, which is open-source, has raised $125,000 in funding from Y Combinator and Peak XV Partners (formerly Sequoia Capital India and SEA).
BrowserStack, backed by Accel, said Requestly will remain open-source post-acquisition and will continue to operate independently while leveraging BrowserStack’s resources to accelerate development.
Requestly will continue to be free and open source while extending its capabilities to support HTTP interception on Android emulators and iOS simulators.
The acquisition aligns with BrowserStack’s efforts to strengthen its developer productivity suite. In February, the company launched an AI-powered testing platform aimed at unifying QA workflows.
