Bath-tech company SteamPRO has raised Rs 3.8 crore in a seed funding round co-led by Anicut Capital, Zeropearl VC, D2C Insider Super Angels and Atrium Ventures, with participation from other strategic angel investors.
The capital will be deployed to expand in-house manufacturing capacity, scale national service operations, and develop a pipeline of new hydro wellness products, SteamPRO said in a press release.
Co-founded in 2020 by Sumir and Pravir Chadha, SteamPRO is a bath-tech company focused on engineering sustainable, design-led, experience-driven hydro wellness solutions for modern homes. The company aims to improve longevity, recovery, and everyday wellbeing by transforming the bathroom into a daily healing ritual.
According to a market research, India’s home wellness spending is growing at over 20 percent year on year and the bathroom and sanitaryware market is estimated at over Rs 30,000 crore.
The Delhi-based startup says that it is introducing flagship product spa-grade steam showers for premium homes, designed for seamless installation without extensive redesign or structural disruption. The system is engineered around three principles such as Water Joy, Hydro Wellness, and Water Consciousness.
SteamPRO has established early leadership in the Delhi NCR region, cumulatively recording over 3,000 daily steam sessions across installed units, with more than 100 home survey requests each week. The company aims to expand into metropolitan cities and other strategic segments over the next 18 months.
It may compete directly or indirectly with the other major Indian brands in this space such as Jaquar, Kohler, Woven Gold, Grohe, and overseas brand like Mr. Steam.
