Astrology consulting startup Astrotalk has appointed Deepak Khetan as its chief financial officer as it prepares to go public within the next two years.
Khetan has previously served as CFO at GLS Group India, GlobalBees, and Edelweiss Financial Services, and brings extensive experience in financial planning, compliance, and investor relations.
At Astrotalk, he will oversee financial strategy, risk management, and regulatory processes, with a key focus on preparing the company for its initial public offering. His mandate also includes driving strategic investments, enabling international expansion, and building long-term growth systems.
Astrotalk operates on a revenue-sharing model with over 20,000 astrologers and sees 700,000 daily active users on its platform. Its services are priced between Rs 10 and Rs 200 per minute. The company claims to be operating at an annual revenue run-rate of Rs 1,600 crore.
AstroTalk, which raised $14 million in June last year, has so far secured a total of $34 million in funding from Left Lane and Elev8 Capital. The company is also looking for a unicorn valuation in the next funding round.
The Puneet Gupta-led firm has witnessed strong growth over the past two years. According to an internal document reviewed by Entrackr, the company closed FY25 with revenue of Rs 1,182 crore and profits exceeding Rs 250 crore. This marks a sharp jump from FY24, when it reported Rs 651 crore in revenue and Rs 100 crore in profit.
