Delhi-based astrology startup Vaya has secured $1.5 million in funding from Accel, Arkam Ventures, Weekend Fund, and angel investors including Sumer Juneja and Sarthak Mishra of SoftBank India.
Launched in 2025 by Maahin Puri and Nitesh Kumar Niranjan, Vaya uses AI to interpret astrological data, allowing astrologers to focus on delivering insights rather than calculations.
The proceeds will be used to grow its team, refine its AI capabilities, and build a network of Vedic astrology experts targeting the mass-premium segment.
Currently, the platform operates with 11 in-house astrologers and follows a pay-per-minute model, with time bundles ranging from five to 40 minutes.
Since its launch two months ago, Vaya has amassed a user base of 30,000-40,000, predominantly from metro cities like Mumbai, Delhi, and Bengaluru. The startup also aims to reach non-resident Indians in markets such as the US and Canada.
Its major competitors include Astrotalk, which raised $14 million in June last year. It also competes with InstaAstro, GaneshaSpeaks, Click Astro, Astroyogi and Bodhi.
