Venture capital firm Accel has announced the promotion of Pratik Agarwal and Rachit Parekh to Partner.
Both have been with the firm for the past six years and have contributed to investment strategy, founder engagement, and portfolio development.
Agarwal and Parekh have played key roles in supporting early-stage startups and shaping investment decisions.
Accel stated in a X post that the promotion aligns with its ongoing strategy of scaling with experienced investors who understand the firm’s goals and values. Agarwal and Parekh will continue working with the existing team to identify new opportunities and support portfolio companies.
In India, Accel has backed companies such as Flipkart, Freshworks, and Swiggy, among hundreds of others.
In past years, Accel has promoted several individuals to partner roles. In 2019, Accel India had promoted three principals to partners. The names include Abhinav Chaturvedi, Prayank Swaroop and Barath Shankar.
In January this year, Accel unveiled its eighth fund, allocating $650 million to support early-stage startups in India and Southeast Asia.
