Swiggy crosses Rs 4,000 Cr revenue in Q3 FY25, InstaMart grows 2.1X

Foodtech and quick commerce major Swiggy has managed a 31% year-on-year growth in its operating revenue which spiked to Rs 3,993 crore during Q3 FY25 as compared to Rs 3,048 crore Q3 FY24.

Swiggy’s food delivery business continues to be a major contributor, accounting for 34.23% of the total collection in Q3 FY25. Revenues from this vertical grew 3% to Rs 1,367 crore from Rs 1,326 crore in Q3 FY24.

The company’s quick commerce segment also saw remarkable growth, with revenue surging by 113% to Rs 576 crore in Q3 FY25 from Rs 270 crore in Q3 FY24. The segment's gross order value (GOV) growth was driven by an increase in order frequency and the addition of new dark stores, contributing significantly to the company’s overall revenue.

Scootsy Logistics contributed a major 42% of Swiggy’s overall operating collection. Income from this entity increased by 23% QoQ to Rs 1,692 crore in Q3 FY25 from Rs 1,377 crore in Q3 FY24.

Swiggy’s Dine Out, Genie, Swiggy Mini and other non-operating income took its total revenue to Rs 4,096 crore in Q3 FY25.

On the cost side, the procurement of FMCG products for supply chain distribution formed 32% of its overall cost which increased by 17.4% to Rs 1,565 crore in Q3 FY25. Meanwhile, the delivery charges saw 30% growth to Rs 1,127 crore in Q3 FY25.

Swiggy spent Rs 657 crore and Rs 751 crore on employee benefits and advertising, respectively. Its legal, infrastructure, and other overheads pushed the overall cost up by 32% to Rs 4898 crore in Q3 FY25.

The 31% growth scale and expenditure led losses to increase by 39% to Rs 799 crore in Q3 FY25 from Rs 574 crore in Q3 FY24. It spent Rs 1.23 to earn a rupee in Q3 FY25.

Swiggy recently launched a new app, SNACC, to deliver food in 15 minutes which offers a range of items, including breakfast, coffee, baked goods, cold beverages, eggs, and protein, sourced from third-party food providers and notable brands such as Blue Tokai and The Whole Truth.

After today’s trading session, Swiggy’s share price closed at Rs 418.05 a piece with a market cap of Rs 98,206 crore.

Zomato’s revenue from operations surged 64.4% to Rs 5,405 crore in Q3 FY25 in contrast to Rs 3,288 crore in Q3 FY24. The Gurugram-based company’s profit slipped 57.2% YoY to Rs 59 crore in Q3.
