Peak XV Partners has witnessed yet another senior exit with managing director Harshjit Sethi stepping down from the venture capital firm. Sethi, who spent close to a decade at the firm.
Harshjit Sethi, who drove Peak XV’s AI bets and was involved with firms such as Sarvam, BharatPe, Apna and Darwinbox, has put in his papers and will be transitioning out of the firm, according to people aware of the matter.
In a LinkedIn post, Sethi wrote, “After a decade at Sequoia India and Peak XV, I’ve decided to leave the firm and explore a new innings. It’s been a journey rich in learning and relationships.” He added that the Indian startup ecosystem had scaled faster than he predicted when he moved back from the Bay Area in 2015, and said he remains passionate about partnering with founders at the earliest stages.
Sethi’s exit adds to the senior-level churn at Peak XV. Earlier this month, Chief Product Officer Anuj Sahai also stepped down, less than two years after joining from stints at Flipkart, Ola, Payback, and Yahoo.
Peak XV Partners has witnessed a series of high-level departures in recent months. In February 2025, managing partners Shailesh Lakhani and Abheek Anand resigned after long stints at the firm, followed by investor Shraeyansh Thakur’s exit in March after nearly a decade. These exits add to an earlier wave of senior-level churn, including the departures of Piyush Gupta, Anandamoy Roychowdhary, and others.
