Drone and aircraft systems manufacturer Raphe mPhibr has raised $100 million in a round led by General Catalyst, with participation from existing investors Amal Parikh, Think Investments, and several high net worth family offices.

This is the largest private funding round raised by an Indian aerospace company, taking Raphe mPhibr’s total capital raised to $145 million.

Founded in 2016, Raphe mPhibr designs and manufactures drones, autonomous aircraft systems, and military grade avionics. The Noida-based company has built an end to end aerospace manufacturing facility, with in-house capabilities spanning design, simulation, metal and composite processing, engine development, and electronics.

The company claims its products including the mR10 (operational drone swarm), mR20 (high altitude logistics drone), Bharat (surveillance drone), and X8 (maritime patrol platform) are deployed in various terrains across India. Raphe mPhibr has also developed India's first indigenous military grade autopilot and lightweight internal combustion engine for UAVs.

Founded by Vikash Mishra, Vivek Mishra, and Nitin Katiyar, Raphe mPhibr has partnered with defence and aerospace companies including Dassault Systèmes, HENSOLDT, and Safran Electronics & Defense. The company’s integration of platforms such as Dassault's 3DEXPERIENCE reflects its focus on sovereign, scalable engineering solutions.

Raphe mPhibr’s systems are also attracting interest in Paris, Dubai, and London, as it aims to become a player in the global aerospace supply chain.

The capital will be used to scale manufacturing, accelerate R&D, and deepen strategic partnerships in India and abroad.

Raphe mPhibr employs over 600 people and holds more than 100 unique IPs. According to the company, it aligns with the Indian government’s Aatmanirbhar Bharat and Make in India initiatives to reduce dependence on foreign defence systems.
