Veranda Learning revenue nears Rs 100 Cr in Q3 FY25

Edtech company Veranda Learning has shown 8% growth in scale year-on-year. The company’s loss spiked 12X during the third quarter of FY25, compared to the same quarter of the previous fiscal (Q3 FY24).

Edtech company Veranda Learning has shown 8% growth in scale year-on-year. The company’s loss spiked 12X during the third quarter of FY25, compared to the same quarter of the previous fiscal (Q3 FY24). 

Veranda’s revenue from operations increased to Rs 99 crore in Q3 FY25 from Rs 92 crore in Q3 FY24, according to its consolidated unaudited financials sourced from the National Stock Exchange (NSE).

For context, Veranda reported a revenue of Rs 357 crore with a bottom-line loss of Rs 258 crore in the first nine months of the ongoing fiscal year (FY25).

The firm's major cost was depreciation, which accounted for 45% of the total expenditure, standing at Rs 140 crore. This cost surged 7X year-on-year. Additionally, spending on employee benefits, marketing, legal, information technology, and other expenses pushed its overall expenditure to Rs 304 crore in Q3 FY25, marking a 3X increase from Rs 98 crore in Q3 FY24.

The flat revenue and sharp rise in expenses led to a 12X surge in the firm’s loss, reaching Rs 203 crore in Q3 FY25 compared to Rs 17 crore in Q3 FY24. On a unit level, the firm spent Rs 3.08 to earn a rupee in Q3 FY25.

Veranda closed today's trading session at Rs 226.9, reflecting a 0.27% increase in its share price. Its total market capitalization stood at Rs 1,619 crore.
