Remote patient monitoring (RPM) startup Dozee has raised Rs 44 crore or close to $6 million in its Series A round led by Prime Venture Partners. YourNest Venture Capital and 3one4 Capital have also participated.

According to the company, the fresh capital will be deployed in R&D to launch new products and enhance its platform capabilities. With this round, the total fund raised by Dozee now stands at Rs 63 crore or $8.5 million.

Founded by Mudit Dandwate and Gaurav Parchani, the startup’s AI-based tracking system helps in monitoring a patient’s heart rate, respiratory rate, and other clinical parameters.

Six-year-old Dozee currently offers its RPM solutions to over 216 hospitals in India and has deployed its technology in over 5,000 beds in hospitals to monitor patients continuously.

The startup further aims to partner with over 1,000 hospitals and to install its platform in more than 50,000 step-down ICUs in the upcoming year. The company majorly competes with Israeli firm called Early Sense and wearables that map out essential metrics such as heart rate and oxygen level.
