Jayant Chauhan, Chief Product and Technology Officer at Honasa Consumer Limited, the parent company of MamaEarth, has resigned for personal reasons. The company announced the resignation in a stock exchange filing on Tuesday.
Chauhan’s resignation will take effect on November 30, concluding his four-year tenure at the company. Before joining MamaEarth, he served as Chief Product Officer at Policybazaar for nearly two years.
This marks the second high-profile departure from Honasa Consumer Limited, MamaEarth’s parent company, in recent months. In August, Abhiishekk Raj Pandey, Senior Vice President of Commerce, left to become a co-founder at Zalon.
MamaEarth, known for its personal and beauty care products, reported a 17.6% quarter-on-quarter increase in revenue, reaching Rs 554 crore, up from Rs 471 crore in Q4 FY24. This marked the company’s most profitable quarter, with a profit after tax (PAT) of Rs 40 crore.
Last month, early investors—Peak XV, Stellaris Ventures, Sofina Ventures, and Fireside Ventures—collectively sold shares worth Rs 1,600 crore ($190 million) in the company.
