Mukesh Bansal’s Nurix AI has secured $27.5 million in funding co-led by General Catalyst and Accel, with participation from Meraki Labs.
The funding is cumulative of seed and series A rounds. The startup raised $12.5 million in seed funding, while the remaining came from the series A.
The investment will be channeled towards expanding Nurix's technological base and scaling its operations in Asia and Northern America, the company said in a press release. This includes enhancing its R&D capabilities with a focus on fostering long-term partnerships with AI hardware and product companies.
Founded in 2024 by Bansal, Nurix AI provides custom AI-native services that fit within existing enterprise workflows, helping enterprises implement AI agents in ways that are practical, reliable, and aligned with their operational needs. As per the company, its solutions are designed to enhance productivity, drive profitability, and enhance customer experiences for enterprises worldwide.
Nurix’s first offering focuses on re-imagining the $300 billion BPO (business process outsourcing) industry. By combining the strengths of AI with human oversight, this product allows for more personalized and scalable customer interactions while maintaining reliability.
Mukesh Bansal is one of the few serial entrepreneurs who has led multiple companies, and raised millions of dollars from prominent investors. After selling Myntra to Flipkart in 2017, he became the head of commerce and advertising at the Walmart-owned company. He also co-founded Cult.fit, which later became a unicorn under Tata Digital.
Following Tata Digital’s initial investment of $75 million in Cult.fit in June 2021, Bansal joined as president. According to an ET report, he stepped away from the day-to-day operations of Tata Digital’s super app, Neu, in January of last year.
Additionally, Bansal co-founded a startup called Lyskraft with Zomato co-founder Mohit Gupta. The firm has also raised $26 million from investors such as Peak XV Partners, Prosus, and others.
