Freshworks has announced that Murali Swaminathan will join the company as its new Chief Technology Officer (CTO).
In this role, Swaminathan will be responsible for Freshworks’ technology roadmap and strategy, leading the company’s global engineering and architecture teams.
He will join the executive management team and report to Freshworks’ Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and President, Dennis Woodside, who succeeded the company’s longtime CEO, Girish Mathrubootham, in May of this year.
Swaminathan comes to Freshworks from ServiceNow, where he served as Vice President of Engineering. His appointment comes as Freshworks continues to expand its offerings and grow its revenue.
The company’s operating revenue increased to $174.1 million for the quarter ending June 2024, up from $165.1 million in Q1 of the current fiscal year. It targets to reach $707-713 million in revenue for the full year ending December 2024.
Additionally, Freshworks acquired Device42 for $230 million in June 2024.
