SaaS startup Acadru has secured $0.5 million in pre-Series A round led by AIG Direct LLC along with a clutch of other investors.
The fresh fund will be deployed in market expansion and developing new content pathways, Acadru said in a press release.
Co-founded in 2016 by Abhishek Singhal and Kamini Vidisha, Acadru is an online learning platform for college and senior school students that helps them develop their skills and explore their interests. The platform offers a multidisciplinary approach that includes project-based activities, mini-modules, and AI-powered profile generation. The startup aims to help students discover their passions, develop practical skills, and showcase their accomplishments.
According to the Gurugram-based company, it brings contextual explorations which allow learners to elevate their learning through appropriate contexts to conceptual levels. The platform also provides background material, projects, content flow ideas as well as source material linkages for individual report and team projects, as well as resources to anchor research, analysis and evaluation skills for learning explorations.
Acadru claims to have a repository of over 5,000 projects with content stitched over 500 topics, and additional material added every week. It can be used across multiple use-case scenarios, customized to the needs of a school.
