Minutes, the quick commerce service by Flipkart, has gone live in parts of Bengaluru. The e-commerce major has been planning to enter the 10-minute delivery service space for the past six months.
As per reports, the company is delivering grocery, electronics, smartphones and other products for about 10 minutes in select pincodes in Bengaluru. According to sources, the company will roll out quick commerce service in four weeks from now.
Entrackr was first to report about Flipkart quick commerce’s foray in March 2024.
In May, Flipkart also raised $350 million from search giant Google. At that time, several media reports indicated that Flipkart would use a significant portion of the fund for its quick commerce play.
With this, Flipkart’s Minutes will face fierce competition from Zepto, Zomato-owned Blinkit and Swiggy Instamart which have been battling out for larger market share. Currently, BlinkIt leads the quick commerce space, followed by Swiggy Instamart and Zepto.
