Planet Marathi OTT raises $5 Mn from A & MA Capital USA

Marathi OTT platform Planet Marathi OTT has raised $5 million in a new round led by USA-based private equity firm A & MA Capital USA. 

The platform has also partnered with media-tech company Dcafe to further strengthen its technological capabilities.

Planet Marathi OTT, which provides an exclusive platform for Marathi industry talent and stories globally, plans to use the investment to strengthen its content library and technological infrastructure.

Founded by Akshay Bardapurkar, Planet Marathi OTT claims to house the largest and most esteemed library of Marathi content on OTT platforms and offers content in various genres, including comedy, romance, politics, family drama, thriller, crime, and satire. 

Hosting titles across genres like romance, comedy, family drama, politics, crime, thriller, and satire, Planet Marathi OTT is known for content such as Goshta Eka Paithanichi and Raanbaazaar.
