Hood, a pseudonymous social networking platform, has announced the launch of ‘Whistle’, a tool designed to provide comprehensive insights into company health, leveraging data from Entrackr and TheKredible.

Whistle offers an overall company health score based on various parameters including financial performance, recent layoffs, valuation and revenue multiples, growth, and debt-to-equity ratios among others. By synthesizing data from the startup intelligence platform TheKredible, news articles, and user reviews, Whistle helps professionals make informed career decisions with transparent insights on company culture, pay parity, and growth opportunities.

With scores ranging from "Very Poor" to "Excellent," Whistle claims to ensure users stay updated with the most current insights, as data is updated daily. As per Hood, this tool is a valuable resource for understanding a company’s dynamics and making informed career choices.

The name 'Whistle' comes from the concept of a whistleblower, synonymous with truth. We want to create a discussion board for individual companies to get qualitative insights, in addition to quantitative data crunched by Entrackr," said Co-founder of Hood, Abhishek Asthana, popularly known as GabbbarSingh on the internet.

Co-founded by Jasveer Singh and Asthana in July 2021, Hood is a pseudonymous social networking platform that allows users to express themselves anonymously. Users can share posts and opinions using pseudonymous usernames and select topics of interest. The app is available for Android and iOS devices and aims to provide a safe space for open and honest communication without fear of public attack.

As per TheKredible, Hood has raised around $3.2 million in funding from investors including 3one4 Capital, 9Unicorn Ventures, Vijay Shekhar Sharma, Ritesh Agarwal, Ashish Hemrajani, Kunal Shah, and Ashneer Grover.
