Video commerce platform Swirl has raised $1.1 million in seed round led by Shastra VC (formerly Veda VC) and supported by angel investors. 

The angels include Aakrit Vaish, Shan Krishnasamy, Mohammed Dewji, Naim Siddiqui, Anil Goteti, Jiten Patri, Arun Prabhudesai, Neha Kulwal, Ratan Ingu, Paresh Chaudhry and others.

According to Swirl, the funds will be used to meet its surging global customer demand and grow its GTM and product teams with a particular focus on the US and the Middle east markets.

Founded in 2021 by Kaizad Hansotia and Bheshaj Joshi, Swirl has offices in India, and is gearing up to open offices in US and Dubai to expand its global presence. It counts brands as its clients across the globe such as Puma, VIVO, TVS, Arvind, Momstore, Homesrus, Gkhair, LG. 

Post integration with Swirl, companies claim to have generally seen a 3X increase in e-commerce conversions, with over 40% higher ROAS, 35% engagement rate, and an average 13X ROI.
